THIRD SHIPMENT OF RELIEF GOODS TO BE SENT BY AIR ON 16 OCTOBER
The Philippine Consulate General in Sydney wishes to share the information that a third large shipment of relief goods is being organized by the Filipino Community. Persons, families and organizations, as well as drop-off focal points, who wish to send additional goods to the Philippines for the relief of the typhoon victims can include their donations in this shipment. This shipment will be consigned to the Philippine National Red Cross, Gawad Kalinga, and some other relief providers. The shipment is being sent in the name of the Filipino Community of New South Wales.
The drop-off and packaging point is at Revesby Press, unit 3 / 50 George Street, Granville NSW 2142. The shipment organizer is Emma de Vera, telephone (02) 9760 0133. A 20-foot cargo container van is parked at this location and is being filled with relief goods.
This is the third large shipment that will be sent from this point. The first shipment was sent by air on 6 October and contained 3000 kilos of food. The second shipment was sent by air on Tuesday 13 October and comprised two 20-foot cargo containers carrying 464 boxes (3000 kilos) of food and medicine. |
