Ambassador De Leon presents credentials to the Governor-General of Australia

Philippine Ambassador to Australia Ernesto H. de Leon presented his credentials to the Governor-General of Australia at the Government House in Canberra on 23 June 2006, expressing his intentions to continue building on defense cooperation through the Philippine Defense Reform Program and in other activities such as maritime security, counter-terrorism and education and training.

Consulate warns travelers of stiff penalties for 'Identity Theft' and 'Credit Card Fraud'

Consul General Lazaro issued a warning as she informed the Department that a Sydney Local Court has sentenced on 7 December 2005 a Filipino to a six-month jail term after pleading guilty to the charges of using an assumed identity and possessing a counterfeit credit card.   The Department is withholding the name of the convicted Filipino to protect his and his family’s privacy.

Parramatta City Mayor to visit Cebu to re-vitalize sister-city relations
