Assistance to Nationals

It is the declared policy of the Philippine Government to promote the welfare and well being and protect the rights of all overseas Filipinos. Accordingly, every Filipino, whether transient or resident in New South Wales (NSW) and New Caledonia, regardless of his political, social or immigration status, shall be received cordially and extended proper assistance.

Assistance to Filipinos in Distress

While as a general rule the Philippine Consulate General should not intervene in official proceedings of the Host Government authorities, it is the Consulate General's responsibility to ensure the protection of the rights and interest of Filipino citizens in its jurisdiction to the fullest extent possible, particularly in cases of injury, oppression, injustice, discrimination and deprivation of liberty.
For appropriate assistance, please contact the Philippine Consulate General at telephone no. (02)9262-7377. Our emergency mobile number is (0415)426-400.

When your personal safety is at stake, call the police immediately. The NSW Police Emergency hotline is 000.
