Consul General Eva Galinato Betita
Consul General Eva Galinato Betita is a career diplomat, Chief of Mission II, of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs. Prior to her assignment to Sydney, Australia, she held responsible positions in the Home Office such as Executive Director and then Acting Assistant Secretary of the Office of Fiscal Management of the Department of Foreign Affairs in 2007-2009 and as Director of the Office of Asia Pacific Affairs, South Asia Division in 2006.
For her service to the country, she received the Presidential Award Gawad Mabini, Dakilang Kasugo (rank of Commander) from Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in Malacanan Palace in 2007.
She has served in various capacities abroad, as Consul and then Acting Head of Post of the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2000-2006 and as Vice Consul and subsequently, Consul of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, California in 1990-1996.
She is a graduate of Bachelor and Master of Library Science from the University of the Philippines.
She is married to Mauricio Paez Betita with whom she has three children: Bryan Arvin, Karen Kristeen and Christian Protacio.
She assumed her Post as Consul General of the Philippine Consulate General, Sydney, Australia on 19 April 2009.

Reyes
He holds a degree in BA Journalism from
the University of the Philippines and studied in the latter’s
MA Broadcasting program. He joined the Department of Foreign Affairs
in September 2003, and was the Principal Officer for the Northeast
Asian Affairs Division (2003 to 2004) and Pacific Affairs Division
(2004 to 2005). Previous to his current assignment, he was the
Second Secretary and Vice Consul of the Embassy of the Philippines
in Koror, Republic of Palau (2005 to 2008).
Prior to joining the DFA, he pursued a career in marketing communications,
and has experience in social marketing, public relations, advertising,
and corporate communications. He was a writer for Philippine newspapers,
magazines, advertising agencies, public relations firms, and television
programs. He was a faculty member of the Department of Journalism
of the University of the Philippines’ College of Mass Communication
and the Department of English of the Ateneo de Manila University.
