Advisory on Tropical Storm Sendong
ADVISORY ON TROPICAL STORM SENDONG AND ASSISTANCE TO FLOOD VICTIMS
20 December 2011 - As of 19 December 2011, Tropical Storm Sendong (international code name Washi) has moved out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Massive flooding was reported throughout Region 10, especially in Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) report as of 19 December, the storm left 533 dead and 309 missing. 432 were rescued. A total of 135,094 people were affected or 24,680 families in 173 baranggays.
