Advisory on Assistance to Flood Victims of Typhoon Sendong

As of 5 January 2012, operations in the affected areas of Typhoon Sendong are in the early recovery stage. The following are identified as priority needs:


•    Tents (including tents to house medical stations)
•    Blankets
•    Folding beds
•    Temporary shelters
•    Cooking utensils
•    Galvanized iron (GI) sheets for shelter roofing
•    Generators
•    School supplies for children

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) of the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) is the focal point for the logistical requirements for the transport of humanitarian supplies coursed through government agencies:
