Following the holding of the Regional Consultation Meeting and AIM Training of the Heads of Posts in the Asia-Pacific region in Manila from 29 February to 8 March 2012, the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney held a seminar-workshop attended by all its personnel last Saturday, 17 March 2012, to discuss and develop initiatives and activities under the Consulate’s Economic Diplomacy Program for 2012 and to further enhance consular and other services extended by the Post.

During the workshop, the Consulate’s staff members in charge of cultural matters, ePassport service, administration, property, finance and security also presented their respective work plans for the year.

The officers and staff also discussed measures to encourage increased participation of members of the Filipino community in New South Wales in the ongoing OAV registration and in the Consulate’s project to register members of the Filipino community which was launched in August last year.

The seminar-workshop is part of a series of activities on institution- and capacity-building that the Consulate has lined up for the year. END
