NEW SCHEDULE OF CONSULAR FEES TO TAKE EFFECT ON 15 JANUARY 2009

07 January 2009 – The Philippine Consulate General in Sydney will implement a revised schedule of Consular Fees starting 15 January 2009.  The increase in the fees will be implemented across the range of consular services, including passports, visas and notarials.

Starting 15 January 2009, the cost of a Philippine passport will increase to AUD90.00 from AUD65.00.  Notarial and Authentication fees will be AUD45.00, while Visa fees will be AUD54.00 and AUD108.00 for single entry and six (6) months multiple entries, respectively.

The implementation of the new schedule of fees is pursuant to instructions from the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila.

The last revision of the schedule of Consular fees happened in 01 March 2008, which resulted in the reduction of fees by more than 30%.
